SONGS final concert

At the final concert of the eighth round of SONGS, selected participants will present their submitted songs live in front of a jury of experts. The jury consists of the artist Eva Sauter ("ok.danke.tschüss"), Derek von Krogh (Artistic Director and Managing Director of Popakademie Baden-Württemberg), Prof. Udo Dahmen (former Artistic Director and Managing Director of Popakademie Baden-Württemberg), Andreas Küchle (Board of Trustees of the Education and Social Foundation of Sparda-Bank Baden-Württemberg) and Michelle Leonard (artist, publisher and songwriter). The winners will receive non-cash prizes and professional coaching at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg.
Special guest is Popakademie student and SONGS winner 2021 Enya Boban. With an unmistakable passion for live performance, Enya combines the artful lyricism of her songs with powerful instrumentals that captivate listeners. As a singer and dancer, she brings a unique energy to the stage that not only reveals her affinity for these art forms, but also her deep connection to her musical roots. Inspired by pop culture icons such as Hannah Montana and Michael Jackson, Enya has developed a style that fits perfectly into today's musical landscape and brings a fresh, innovative twist. Lyrically, her musical narratives are an exploration of the multi-layered nature of human relationships - be it bonding with others, self-reflection or observing life events. Her lyrics invite the audience to immerse themselves in worlds of introspection and emotional depth. Each performance emphasizes Enya's credo that true art comes from the fusion of different disciplines. Her music encourages the audience to reflect on their own relationships and observations.
