Popakademie Department Chief Anika Nilles wins Drumeo Award

Anika Nilles was honored with the "Contemporary Drummer of the Year" award at the Drumeo Awards 2023.
In recent years, Anika Nilles has established herself as one of the most important drummers on the international scene. Her unmistakable sound and playing style as well as her own compositions, which move between pop/rock, funk and jazz, inspire drummers worldwide. With several million clicks on her social media channels, she opened up the "modern age" of the next generation of drummers. Since the winter semester 2021/2022, Popakademie alumna Anika Nilles has been Department Chief Drums at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg.
