Popakademie alumni Hannes Braun and Jim Müller are once again at the top of the Official German Album Charts with their band Kissin' Dynamite: With their ninth studio album, “Kissin' Dynamite,” the rock band has reached number one on the LP charts for the second time in a row. Both singer Hannes and guitarist Jim earned a Bachelor of Arts in Pop Music Design from the Popakademie.
The new album marks a special milestone in the band’s nearly 20-year history. It looks back on two decades of KISSIN’ DYNAMITE, brings an era to a close—according to the band—and at the same time opens a new chapter—released for the first time on their own label, KISSIN’ DYNAMITE RECORDS. The band also sees their chart success as a strong signal for rock music: it shows that artisanal music still thrills a large audience today, that physical albums are still in demand, and that fans continue to support their artists for many years to come.
