The conversation between the two is about music television in the 90s and noughties - Giglinger offers an unfiltered look behind the scenes of German music television.
Elmar Giglinger is a business economist, journalist and communication expert. After working in radio, he was part of the founding editorial team of VIVA TV in 1993, later becoming Editorial Director and Program Director. At the beginning of 2000, Giglinger moved to MTV Networks (Viacom), where he was initially Program Director and later Senior Vice President responsible for the channels in D-A-CH, Eastern Europe, Benelux and Scandinavia. In 2010, he joined Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg as Managing Director. Here he was mainly responsible for location marketing and the development of the digital media location on behalf of the federal states. He founded Giglinger Consulting & Coaching in 2016 with offices in Berlin and Kempten. Here he is mainly active in strategic management consulting and as a rhetoric trainer.He published the book "MTViva liebt dich! - 'Die elektrisierende Geschichte des deutschen Musikfernsehens', together with Markus Kavka.Tuesday, July 02, 2024 from 6 p.m. in room 415, admission is free, registration is not necessary.
