Mannheim reception at the Reeperbahnfestival 2024 in Hamburg
12. September 2024
On Wednesday, September 18, 2024, the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg, NEXT Mannheim and the equipment insurer I'M SOUND will present themselves at a joint reception at the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg. From September 18 to 21, 2024, the largest club festival in Europe will take place there, which has established itself as a central networking platform for the scene for musicians from all areas.
“The 'Meet the Mannheimers' event on the Reeperbahn has now established itself as an integral part of the festival program. This year, we are particularly proud that our student Soffie will be setting a special accent with her songs,” says Michael Herberger, Business Director and Managing Director of the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg and Derek von Krogh Artistic Director and Managing Director of the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg.“I am delighted that this year, together with our partners Popakademie Baden-Württemberg and I'M SOUND, we will once again be able to offer Mannheim musicians an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and network at the most important event for the music industry in Germany. The UNESCO City of Music Mannheim has been an integral part of the Reeperbahn Festival for many years,” says Dr. Matthias Rauch, Head of Cultural Urban Development & Cultural and Creative Industries at NEXT Mannheim. “It gets quiet without music. Without instruments too. As an equipment insurer, we have been supporting the music scene for many years, not only as an insurance partner but also as a cooperation partner, and we like to be where we meet our target group. The reception at the Reeperbahnfestival is a great opportunity for us to exchange ideas with interested parties and customers,” says Janina Klabes, I'M SOUND brand manager at Mannheimer Versicherung AG, one of the leading instrument insurers on the market. The special guest at the Mannheim reception will be Popakademie student Soffie, whose song “Für immer Frühling” became a viral hit at the beginning of the year and reached number 11 in the German singles charts. It is considered a song of the protests against right-wing extremism in Germany and Austria. “Meet the Mannheimers” receptionDOT CLUB, 20359 Hamburg
