Future Music Camp 2021 publishes programme and schedule

06. April 2021

The programme of the digital Future Music Camp on 15 and 16 April 2021 at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg has been set. The schedule for the ten keynotes and other interactive sessions can be found on the website.

New in the programme is, among other things, the keynote by Jonas Röhrscheid (Head of Content, Sony Music) on the opportunities and challenges of artist brands on TikTok. Matthias Strobel (Founder, Music Tech Germany) will discuss whether non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are the beginning of a new music ecosystem.
In other newly confirmed keynotes, Kushal Patel (Marketing and Training Manager, Music Ally) will explore the opportunities for artists and labels in the field of tension between gaming and music. Nikoo Sadr (Director Artist & Label Services, Nordic, The Orchard) will also discuss the role of the modern label.

In addition to top-class national and international keynote speakers, there will be sessions held by participants. These will deal, for example, with hybrid concerts, the future of podcast formats and streaming. Other sessions will cover the importance of copyright reform, NFTs, immersive productions and the question of whether platforms like Clubhouse reinforce discrimination in rap.

The Future Music Camp started in 2009 as the first bar camp for the music industry and has established itself as a modern conference format for executives and young professionals from the music and creative industries. As the organiser of the camp, the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg connects experts from the field with students from relevant disciplines such as music, media, culture and creative industries.

Participation in the Future Music Camp is free of charge, to register please click here. There you will also find the keynotes and sessions.
