New Bandpool generation has been chosen

The Bandpool, the top funding program of the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg, presents its 27th generation.Seven talented artists from German-speaking countries with different genres and styles were selected from over 250 applications to take part in the 18-month program.

The 27th generation consists of: David Ost combines indie, folk and pop with strong vocals and cinematic songwriting, while emi x present a mixture of self-irony and poetic lyrics in their electro and hyperpop.The Cologne band flora focuses on a nostalgic 2000s guitar sound, while Florin combines melancholic pop with trumpet and electrifying live energy.
FREUDE from Vienna combine indie rock with alternative elements and danceable rhythms, while Maja Kemper touches with her soulful indie folk pop and poetic lyrics. Finally, Paul Freitag brings German pop with rock influences and profound lyrics to the stage.
