A day full of music, information and future opportunities - the Info Day

On Saturday, February 4, 2023, the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg will open its doors to all music enthusiasts interested in studying and pursuing a career in popular music as well as in music and creative industries. Starting at 1 p.m., visitors will be able to get to know the university. Course directors, lecturers and students from all departments will be on hand to provide information about the various courses offered. On Friday, February 3, from 7 p.m. and Saturday, February 4, at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., there will be public end-of-semester concerts.

The Popakademie Baden-Württemberg is looking forward to welcoming interested visitors on February 4, 2023 and giving them exciting insights into the study of popular music and music and creative industries. The info day is THE opportunity to get to know the higher education institution and its unique range of studies in Germany and to get advice from the staff, lecturers and students. The focus will be on the three Bachelor's programs Pop Music Design, Music Business and World Music as well as the two Master's programs Popular Music and Music & Creative Industries. In addition, the Info Day provides insights into the project and competence areas of the Popakademie and offers visitors a day full of music, information and future opportunities.

Starting at 1 p.m., the two managing directors Prof. Udo Dahmen, Artistic
Director, and Michael Herberger, Business Director, will present the Popakademie and offer exemplary lectures. The program directors Prof. Dr. Alexander Endreß (Music Business B.A.) and Prof. Dr. David-Emil Wickström (Pop Music Design B.A. and World Music B.A.) will provide information about the Bachelor's programs with lectures. The Master's programs will be presented by the program directors Prof. Dr. Nina Schneider (Music and Creative Industries M.A.) and Prof. Annette Marquard (Popular Music M.A.). In addition, lecturers and staff from the various subject, project and competence areas will be on hand throughout the day to answer questions about the content of the courses, provide individual advice to interested visitors and give exciting and practical insights into studying at the Popakademie.

Since 2003, the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg has been the only state-run higher education institution in Germany to offer degree programs in the fields of popular music and music and creative industries. With a wide range of study programs and a strong network in the music industry, the Popakademie has been offering the best prerequisites for a successful career in the music world for 20 years.
