For Girls' Day 2026, the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg and the Mannheim Municipal Music School are joining forces and inviting girls and young women interested in music from grades 5 to 10 (typically between the ages of 10 and 15) to a joint action day. The event will take place on the nationwide Girls' Day, April 23, 2026, starting at 2 p.m. at the Popakademie in Mannheim.

As part of the cooperation, the two Mannheim educational institutions will offer hands-on workshops on various instruments and fields of activity in music. The aim is to provide insights into musical training and career prospects and, in particular, to inspire girls to pursue musical and music-related careers or simply to play an instrument. Girls' Day concludes at 5 p.m. with a joint concert, where participants present the results of the day and make music together.
